The little piggies are getting big

It was all fine, but as their range away from mama had been steady increasing, as does the badness they find seems to increase.

They had discovered the garden, and let's just say, that was that for them.

Catching these rascals up might have been the easiest feat of the day. At the end of the day, I opened the calf crate, put some of Huckleberry Brewings spent grains inside, waited about 2 minutes, and closed the gate. Again, that was that for them, LOL!

This morning, Jarred and I went out and made sure their new little pen area was safe and ready to go. Mainly, safe as in, they won't find their way out and into the garden again! While we were transferring them into this pen, Jarred took the opportunity to castrate the little boys. Castration day is pretty much everyones least favorite days for different reasons, well, except maybe Griffin, and I'll leave you to your imagination on that one...

This is a critical time for the piglets. They are weaning, and I will give them extra rations and supplement them with plenty of kitchen scraps. They will get their herbal wormer, and basically, chillax until the pasture pens are ready for them.

They are some gorgeous and fat little things! I am so blessed they have all made it to this 6 week milestone, and are not just surviving, but thriving!

See y'all at market!
